Shreveport TImes: Vitter makes stop here touting re-election bid
U.S. Sen. David Vitter, R-Metairie, stopped at Shreveport's Downtown Airport on Wednesday afternoon to announce his re-election bid.
Vitter was first elected in 2004. He is assigned to the Senate committees on banking, housing and urban affairs; armed services; commerce, science and transportation; environment and public works; and small business and entrepreneurship.
He qualified to run in the fall elections Wednesday in Baton Rouge. His stop in Shreveport was part of a statewide tour to kick off his campaign.
